Safari Baby Pegasus

Safari have started to announce their 2017 collection. Only one horse related object to share so far (I'm also going to share a few others that I like below).

This is the Baby Pegasus, not a massive fan, he seems quite boxy, but he's cute nonetheless.

Back the grind and I really need to get finished with October's magazine!

There was a huge delay on August's due to my darling computer deleting the entire thing (thanks) but that has been issued and I am starting work on October's.

The theme for October is....SPOTS!

Your article can be as long or as short as you like, it can be about anything you want as long as it is vaguely horsey or model horsey related and somehow fits in the 'spots' theme.

Please email all articles to catriona@chestnutridge.co.uk by October 12th at the latest!

Please make sure any images you include with your article are your own.

As a massive thank you for submitting you will get a finalised copy of the magazine (sent as a PDF) and up to one A4 side advertising. Adverts must also be received by October 12th.

Breyer Holiday Collection is Here!

So I have a bit of a confession to make. I've never really been taken with the Breyer ornaments, but I've also never really seen them in the flesh before. I have a couple of modified race horses that I show and a few that came with a Christmas horse a few years back. But I've never actually actively gone out and bought them before.

But I think my mind is completely changed on that one. I chose to get a variety of items in this year, essentially we have the entire Holiday Collection but quite small stock numbers (there are only four of some of the ornaments) but OMGOSH they are beautiful!

I think my favourite has to be the Bejeweled one (not surprising) but I actually really like the Gypsy Vanner as well, and the Carousel horse.

Woodland Splendor

The first batch of Breyer Christmas products arrived today :)

As usual I have taken my Christmas present early (v. important for business to take these pictures obviously).

So say hello to CRS Tartan Dreams (Woodland Splendor) the latest member of the herd:



I wasn't too sure when I first saw this guy in box (all the way back in February would you believe) but actually the costume is rather nice



I really love the fur trim



Also it jingles which is fun



A lot of people had commented that he looked very similar to the Akhal Teke, but as you can see out of costume the colour is completely different.



He's almost champagne in colour, really beautiful, with that sort of light shimmer that means he is realistic but still a little bit special



Mine did have a bit of glitter on the off side, but it easily came off (excuse the cat)



And finally, no out of box pictures, but here is a reasonably decent picture of Poltergeist who also came in today



I actually prefer the box to the horse (it's purple). As you can see the black has a bit of a red hint to it, nice colour. I'll do a glow in the dark shot when it's actually dark!

So there we go! That is the complete series. Spaces for some will sell out quicker than others but there are loads of spaces left for all of them as it stands. Each show will be completely themed with amazing rosettes, certificates and some unique prizes.

Each show has fun classes at lunch which are open to all as well as a lunchtime raffle.

There will be Chestnut Ridge sales throughout the day and we are hoping that Animal Artistry and Julip Originals will be joining us for a few shows as well.
