Finished this nice little English breastplate off today. I decided to do one for a heavy horse, you don't see much heavy horse tack around the place!

2013 Schleich's 'In The Flesh'

I thought I would share some pictures of the 2013 Schleich's that I have just received 'in the flesh'.

First up is the Fell mare:

Something I Find Interesting

I find genetics very interesting and I find this new discovery very very interesting. So I guess with model horses we don't need to ever test their genetics but in real horses people do! So being able to test these things is great and it leads to further discoveries for tests for all kinds of things from genetic markers for colour to genetic markers for illnesses or deformities.

Breyer Christmas Horse 2013

I have been meaning to share this one for a while!

I love this years horse, I adore the Clock Horse mold despite it's flaws. I particularly like the fact that this years appears to have a bush growing out of his quarters, well why not :p

This is a rather interesting looking Nokota horse. I can't decide if I like him or not...I'll leave it up to you to make your mind up!

In Progress Foalies

These two have been sat waiting to be painted for a long time now....so I finally managed to make a start on them!

First up is a running foal to bay:



After a few more coats of white and starting on the eyes:



And second up is a G1 Standing foal that will be a bay going grey (hence the black)



Hopefully this pair will be finished up next weekend, I love that G1 it's sooo cute :p
