I have given up buying models for lent. Which is probably a good thing as she is hideous.

She is the second Breyer Collectors Goddess model and priced at the rather pricey $160. Although my viewpoint is probably skewed by my dislike for all things Strapless.

Plaited Stablemate

This guy was sculpted about a year ago...and yes it has taken me this long to paint him! He is going to be one of my two entries to the MEPSA Stablemate Customizing Contest (the other is a little foal that still needs some work).

This guy has had plaited resculpting and is buckskin.

Pony Bridle

It's so cute :D

This is a commission piece. I chose Brandywine coloured leather lace that I got as a free sample. It's very nice and has a cast bit.

I love ponies :D Magic Man seems to like the bridle as well!

Example

Making Progress & Ultrasonic Cleaner

I took a picture of my little ponies in progress but me being me I left my memory card in my camera! So no pictures I'm afraid...

I have done some work on all of the ponies, one is nearly finished. He was meant to be Champagne but has ended up almost buckskin in colour. I have given him mottled skin anyway so he is technically champagne. He is very beautiful, can't wait to show him off when he's done!

I also got the ultrasonic cleaner and had a chance to try it out. Think it has made an improvement. It definitely cleaned some of the paint off the outside! (yes I did have an airbrush covered in yellow paint after a bit of an incident...). Quite tempted to actually go around and start cleaning random other metal objects now :p

My Iwata airbrush arrived as well, gonna try it out next weekend me thinks

A few treats to myself

Well after my airbrush and me actually having a physical fight on Sunday (the hose broke and put a nice dent in my leg) I decided it was time to do something about it.

So I purchased an ultrasonic cleaner (on advice from a friend) and also finally bought an Iwata airbrush! I had wanted one for a long time and this gave me the excuse needed to get one. The airbrush itself is actually fine (although I think it could do with a good clean) so I will be reporting back on Saturday to let you know how I got on!
