Vintage Club Blind Bags

As I didn't get Vintage Club membership last year I'm really interested in these!

So definitely going to enter.

And is providing a nice distraction from my "I know I'll combine my stock insurance with my public liability insurance" idea which is driving me nuts. Never want to speak to another insurance sales person EVER AGAIN.

Anyway available on the Breyer website if you are a Vintage club member :)

 Vintage Club Blind Bags!

Five New Customs

I hate finishing several models at the same time, I like things to be spaced.

But anyway it sort of worked out that, haven't painted anything in weeks, finish five horses on the same day!

They are all sale pieces, some have already sold. But you can find the rest of them for sale at www.chestnutridge.co.uk

So here we go, just one picture of each I think.

Blue Christmas

Bay incomplete tobiano Breyer Mini Whinnie Standing Thoroughbred.

Boat Song

Bay Classic Duchess, she also has a nice leather headcollar that you may remember me making rather a while back!

Bob Marley (sold)

Bay rabicano Breyer Mini Whinnie standing American Quarter Horse.

And now onto the non-bay ones...

Body Groove

Black pinto Breyer Mini Whinnie draft foal (was originally meant to be bay but I messed up so she ended up black)!

Body II Body (sold)

Sooty buckskin Breyer G2 Warmblood.

So there we have it, after weeks of nothing, five finished off in one day! I've already chosen the next batch (need to get this rider finished as well). All pintos, apparently I'm going through a pinto phase. I don't even like doing pintos that much!

Lots of Tack

Hello potatoes :)

Well the good news is that the customs are coming along well, in fact I think there is a chance I may finish all five at the same time! Which is a little unusual, I don't really like doing that because I like to work in stages on different things, also means they can filter through onto the website more smoothly (particularly the mini ones which go within a few hours of being listed normally)!

But anyway I have finished quite a bit of tack recently...so here we go!

First up are the Arab halters, all for sale at £1.50 each

Second up are some pieces from a selection of commissions, they just have a breastplate left on their order to finish. All of the items are Traditional heavy horse size!

Extra long lead chain

Open front tendon boots

Blue and yellow ribbon browband

And finally some more sales pieces, Stablemate halters, just 50p each!

You can purchase all of the sales pieces or place your own tack order at www.chestnutridge.co.uk

O and before I go...the state of the customs currently!

Woof Woof!

Wahay I actually finished painting something!

OK so he isn't a horse, but at least it is something finished.

He doesn't have a name as he is being sold, but he is rather cute isn't he?

He's a little Horsing Around pewter fox hound

And has been painted to a traditional tri-colour look.

If you'd like him I've listed him for sale here: http://www.chestnutridge.co.uk/foxhound-36782-p.asp

He is Stablemate scale:

Articles Wanted

It's that time of the month again where I beg and beg and beg for articles for the next edition of the Chestnut Ridge magazine.

The 36th edition of our popular magazine is all about literature.

We are looking for articles of any length that relate to this theme (must also be equine or model horse related). It can be anything from a story (why not) to a tutorial to maybe an article about your favourite horse book or author?

The submission deadline is 31st May 2016 and we always work hard to include all the articles we receive.

Those who submit articles will get a free copy of the magazine (worth £2.00) and up to one A4 side of advertising (worth up to £1.50) (adverts must be submitted by May 31st).

Please note - the article (including any images) must all be your own work! If you do not have images to illustrate we can usually provide these.

So get writing, I love reading what you guys write and I know all our subscribers do as well :D

Please email all submissions to: catriona@chestnutridge.co.uk

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask :)
