Halters, halters, halters...and a Pack Saddle

Tying nylon halters is weirdly therapeutic I've found! So if you want to order one, please do, nothing like relaxing over tying my fingers in knots (I'm currently working on a project that requires a lot of glue, so its nice to work on something that doesn't require me sticking my fingers to everything)!

So here is the result of today's halter making:

May Madness 2016

Hello everyone :)

So I think it is about time that I did a full Blog post about May Madness 2016.

First of all a big thank you to Debbie and Nicki who ran an amazing show as always, despite a huge class list everything ran smoothly and to time (and getting Brendon home in time to watch Man U win the FA Cup final was a MASSIVE bonus).

The show day started with a bit of a lie in for us. Rothersthorpe is so close it only takes around an hour to get there, which meant we didn't have to get up until 6.45 and still had time to stop for coffee and arrived early! What a great start to the day :D

The show started off with Animal Artistry and Workmanship (always a blessing having Workmanship first) and was then followed by Original Finish, Custom Finish and Artist Resin.

There was a selection of small championships, overall section championships and a workmanship and breed supreme championship.



A rather lovely looking AA Shire.

The colour on this Stone Saddlebred was just gorgeous, look at the shimmer in that tail!



It wouldn't be a live show without an Alborozo, this shot shows the massive rosettes that small section champions won

An example of why I hate taking pictures in Rothersthorpe, the lighting is AWFUL! Such a pity when there is such eye candy on show, such as this gorgeous Suffolk.

May Madness - A Teaser

I will do a proper Blog post tomorrow but for now here is a little teaser...

Charlie

It's amazing how you can go from insanely happy to heartbroken in a matter of seconds.

I've been waiting all week for Charlie to arrive, desperate for her to be here in time for my live show tomorrow.

And then I get an email from mum saying I have a customs fee, so I run down to the PO and yep, Breyer box!



Open it up and oooo CHARLIE :D



I immediately start to unwrap, get her out of her bubble wrap, take off the head wrapping and....



Yep. No forelock. It had broken off in transit.

Absolutely heartbroken, hardly the new show horse I was expecting.

I've contacted Breyer and asked for her to be replaced.

I glued the forelock back on, its pretty clean so you can't really tell, although I'm guessing the judge will read this and therefore that won't help my situation but I'm still going to pop her in the ring tomorrow anyway, apart from that break she is pretty much flawless, so upsetting!

No name, because well, she's broken! So just Charlie for now.
