Little for Large Live 2018

I still have two more shows to catch up on and share with you guys so we are going in reverse order and starting with Little for Large Live 2018.

This was a small, novice style show in a very unusual round hall! There were nice yummy brownies which is basically all I need from life so I was a happy potato.

You can view the full photos here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10156083037610155.1073742079.689360154&type=1&l=bf603cd618

But here are some selected highlights and champions, as well as me attempting to remember what happened two weeks ago (never an easy thing)

The show started with performance, there were loads of novice entries which was wonderful to see :) It was also nice to judge with some novices and give them a bit of advice (that said I hate judging performance, I see too many faults...)

Resculpted Paso Fino

Last summer I decided to turn my hand at sculpting, as loyal followers will no this does not lie within my 'strengths' area of my SWAT analysis...

Anyway I added a longer mane to this little Paso Fino Stablemate, I was quite happy with how she turned out, it was far from perfect but still, a nice change.

Well yesterday I FINALLY finished painting her. She was originally going to be bay but sorta decided she would rather be chestnut instead. So here she is, in a very rich red chestnut:

And here is the other side with the new mane

It is definitely a very full mane! But it doesn't look awful so I'm happy :p

I do like the colour though, it's a really nice deep shade. It really suits the mould. Also I am liking my new sealant, it gives a very slight shine which just makes their coats look rich and well groomed, that show ring shine!

I shall have to start turning my hands at more manes, a project for after I move house I think!

BreyerFest Sneak Peak

Oooo look at the cool design on the decorator!

What mould will it be though?!?!?

Sycamore Stud Live 2018

I have about three shows to update you on but we will start with the most recent :)

Sycamore Stud Live was held last Saturday and is always a rather unusual show. The show has three original finish sections split between Vintage (models produced before 2000), Modern Vintage (moulds produced before 2000 but in a colourway produced after 2000) and Original Finish (moulds produced after 2000).

The show also has a CTF section for all makes and models :) and a fun and performance section at the start of the show.

There is always a little bit of confusion (and a lot of googling during the show) but it went well and it is wonderful to allow the older models to get out and compete :D

Full pictures can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10156100574560155.1073742081.689360154&type=1&l=a812794260

Catching up on BF Horses

So whilst I have been sampling the delights of the Winchester Science Centre (and faaaar too many sweets) there have been several announcements that we need to catch up on.

So here we go!

First up is Jackpot, this is the Sunday raffle model and also the first time we've had a proper decent picture of the new Bristol mould showing his stand

I think we'll all be doing very creative things with jump poles when Bristol comes out!

Jackpot 2

The next is By A Nose, he is a BF Special run for 2018. A lovely pinto the Lonesome Glory mould.

By a Nose 1

The Surprise model will obviously not be announced until the first people unwrap it on the Friday (always my favourite day of the year refreshing everything to see what it is), but I can share a nice graphic with you :)

DarkHorseSurprise

My guess for this year is Smarty Jones :)

And finally...one of the BF Special Runs will be a Gambler's Choice! Dead Heat will be available in two colours:

Dead Heat 2

So there we go, all caught up :) I would love to hear your predictions for this year's surprise model!

Illumination

This year's mid-year release USA style decorator is a lovely Nokota horse model.

I love the pattern of fireworks on his body, it is really unique and is going to make him look gorgeous with some light shining through.

We have him available to pre-order at Chestnut Ridge. He is priced at £49.99 and is available here: http://www.chestnutridge.co.uk/illumination-45300-p.asp
