Design A Horse - One Week Only

There is going to be some serious begging to Brendon that I need one for an Easter present :p

The Live Show Project - Update

Many of you will be aware that at the beginning of the year I started a project. To live show every model I owed at least once. So how's it going? Well I thought I would update you!

First of all how many horses have I qualified...well the answer to that is 54 individual horses (including performance set ups) have been qualified so far. And I've only been to three shows! Dreading BMECS already :p

So what about all those horses that had never been shown before..

Well here are a few stats on them!

49 of the horses who have never been shown before have placed

22 horses who have never been shown before have BMECS qualfiied!

So not bad at all! I have found some real gems hiding amongst my collection, I have even had one horse who I have owned for 6 years and never shown take a champion!

Bare in mind that the above statistics do include 'new' horses but still :p

So yes, the project is actually going quite well. Another show in a week! It's really quite interesting to see what is placing, many horses who I had simply never contemplated ever showing before!

The second Breyer web special Poseidon is now open for entries!

He is a rather nice Esprit:

To enter you need to be a club member and be ready to spend $150 :p

Well like a Ghost Breyer snuck this on and didn't inform anyone (absolutely HATE it when they do this). Very disappointed as my husband would love this, would have made a brilliant birthday present.

Anyway meet 'Ghost'

More 2013 Models - In The Flesh

First up are the three Artist pieces. These are the same scale as the Parade of Breeds horses and are made of resin. The three depict horses from famous paintings.

First the wild mustang:

Second the very recognisable Stubbs horse

And finally Leonardo de Vinchi's a Gentlemans Mount

Next up the new Marwari model (I must warn you this horse wobbles like hell...)

And the Gypsy Vanner. Despite the fact that he looks awful in all the pictures I have seen I actually quite like him in the flesh. Although I'm not looking forward to painting that mane...

Southern Roundup

Southern Roundup was held on Saturday. It was a good show even if it was a little stressful at the beginning due to all my performance horses being untacked! That said I got a few good placings and quite a lot of my own tack and customs place which is always nice :)

Best placing of the day was CRS Just Jazz my gorgeous Deb Brown custom SJW (with a Huck head) who got a section champion.

Here is a full link to all the pictures for you to look through:

And a link to my own show gallery to see horses painted by me who have won:

Massive Website Updates

Hello all! Well I have spent the last few hours completely updating the website. So here is a summary of some of the updates and why I thought they were necessary!

Front Page

Well you will notice that some of the modules on the front page have been completely reworked and moved.

The Newsletter module has now been moved to the left hand side of the page and up a bit.

The latest news section has been moved to the right hand side and up a bit as well.

I have shifted the payment information section over to the left of the front page

I have shifted the social networking module to the bottom of the right hand side of the page.

Show Gallery

The show gallery has been updated with the 2013 gallery and links to the previous three years of galleries

Custom Gallery

The custom gallery has also been updated with our latest pieces. You will have seen most of them already but it's always fun to have a look through :D

Out of Stock Products

I have firstly updated the stock levels so most products are now back in stock. There is now just one item that is out of stock (sorry about that our suppliers did not have it in stock).

Secondly I have deleted all the out of stock products so the site should be a lots clearer now. It may also seem a little blank in places but I assure you these will be filled soon with some great new products so keep your eyes out!

March's Promotion

Throughout March if you order a one off Arabian tack piece you will get 10% off your order. This is for Traditional and Classic scales.

New Breyer Barn

OK so it's not a model horse but I thought it was rather snazzy so thought I would share!

This is the Breyer two stall barn which they have done up with some rather snazzy new paint and is definitely a little different and rather cool
