Hoofbeats and Maple Treats Event Models

Breyer have released the event models for Hoofbeats and Maple Treats the 2025 Breyer Collector's Event.

The Breyer 2025 Collector's Event is this October/November in Toronto (I did try and work out whether I could go out at the end of half term and fly back ready for work on the Monday but it wasn't quite possible and I don't think it would have gone down well).

At the Collector's Event you get two models with your ticket a Traditional scale model and a Stablemate scale model.

Let's start with this year's Traditional scale model, Legacy

Legacy is a lightly dappled bay on the Bristol mould. I'm quite surprised by this mould choice because firstly, it looks really similar to Voyeur (although obviously different variation) and secondly because this is now the third time they've used Bristol this year. Did they just over produce long mane Bristols or something? Because there are so many of them! Also usual complaint, give me plaits or hogged, no long manes please thank you.

Secondly we have the Stablemate Tamarkuz

Tamarkuz is a bright orange chestnut on the G5 Walking Thoroughbred mould. A cute little model that very much fits the theme of maple! He has definite maple leaf vibes.

What do you think of these guys? Are you also slightly confused by the 2025 Bristol obsession?

New Sales Models Available

I feel like everyone wants to have a clear out of models at the moment! I have had so many messages with collections and job lots for sale that I am becoming quite overwhelmed as to where I am going to store all these horses! I even purchased two new boxes a few weeks ago (which are both already full)!

Basically what I'm saying is please buy some horses as my Traditionals box is full! And I've got two more coming today and another collection next Saturday so I really could do with the space!

Anyway moving on from my space issues, I am really excited about some of the horses in this lot. There were some really beautiful models. I also have a few smaller (and more budget friendly) models available as well. That's the wonderful thing about model horses, there really is something for everyone's budget.

So here we go, all available now at Chestnut Ridge

Highland Pony Models

Today we are going to go through some of the Highland Ponies in my collection. The Highland Pony is a native pony of Scotland and is one of the largest British Native breeds standing between 13-14.2hh. Typical to other British Natives it is a hardly breed with a nice thick winter coat. Highlands are often seen in true dun but also come in grey, bay, black and chestnut. Like many other British Natives they should have very minimal white markings, with a small white star being the largest accepted for stallions and no white on the legs.

Commercial Resin & China

The first model is CRS Sleeping Beauty aka Beau. Beau is a Beswick Highland Pony in dun. I purchased Beau at a local auction house in a job lot of Beswicks and decided to keep him to add to my collection.

Original Finish

This is CRS Croissant Cryptid aka Thumbelina. Thumbelina came from the Best of BreyerFest 2021 set.

Secondly we have CRS Pablo Escabar aka Pablo. Pablo is another Breyer Stablemate G3 Highland Pony (sometimes also called the Athletic Pony). This one is the regular run Highland Pony.

This little guy is CRS Inspector Gadget aka Gadget. Gadget is from the British Breeds 4-Piece Set that was released in 2006.

This is CRS Facebook aka Kylie. Kylie was also a regular run Stablemate Highland Pony, older than Pablo.

This is one of my oldest Breyer model horses. This is the Breyer Traditional Pony Family stallion on the Haflinger mould. Named CRS Just Jack aka Jack.

This little Stablemate is a Breyer G3 Highland from the Best of British Stablemate set. Named CRS Creamy Olive Dance (Olive).

Which is your favourite out of this batch of Highland Ponies?

Celebration of Breyer Live Prizes & Raffle Prizes

I am very proud of myself in that I got everything for the show finished tomorrow. My horses are all packed, certificates are all cut out, prizes are all painted. Everything is packed and sorted. All I need to do is collect the food this evening and we are all good! This is a level of organisation I don't normally achieve so I'm feeling quite smug about it.

With less than 24 hours to go I thought I would share with you some of things that I've created for the show.

We are going to start with the section champion prizes. Each section champion will get a custom Breyer stablemate. I tried to pick slightly unusual colours for each one. I haven't decided which section will get which and will just pick random ones on the day. I know the MFT is definitely the most popular (I actually thought about painting another because I wanted to keep him so badly)! Let me know which one you want to win!

Anyway, here they are :D

First up is a Breyer G4 Paradressage to a bay blanket spotted (probably a pintaloosa). This mould works so nicely as a stock horse and I love this colour on her.

Next we have the only decorator in the bunch. I mean I had to do at least one unicorn! This is the Breyer G5 Warmblood Mare (unicorn variation). She has been painted to a black and pink unicorn. She actually has pink shading in her coat if you look carefully. Her hooves and horn are in a metallic pink paint.

Next we have a G2 Standardbred. This guy has been painted to a max white overo. I love how pink he is! You just know this horse is going to be a nightmare in the sun! He's a really unusual colour and something a little bit different for your show string.

Fourth is another extensive white pinto. This is a G2 Saddlebred that has been painted to an extensive splash white. I went with purple for her ribbon to pick up the blue in her eyes.

And now everybody's favourite, this is a Breyer M1 Missouri Fox Trotter that has been painted to a gorgeous shaded black sabino. I picked a reference I'd saved because of the horse's face marking. Although the horse in the reference was bay I went for a faded black instead and then copied the markings. I adore a black sabino and this guy is to die for, he is just gorgeous. He's definitely the one I want to win!

The final prize is a G3 Stock Horse that has been painted to a silver dapple with white markings. I wasn't too sure about this girl at first but I'm actually really happy with her. The shading is just beautiful.

I have also painted two models as prizes for the raffle. The first is a Breyer Paddock Pal, although I went with a very simple shaded black colour for this guy I thought it was quite cool to offer a custom Paddock Pal. You don't see many custom Paddock Pals around so I thought this would be a fun thing for someone to win.

Secondly, I wanted to offer a painted resin or pewter micro. I was going to do another piece but I had already decided I would probably sell this girl and thought instead I would offer her for the raffle. This is the Maggie Bennett Escape Foot Callie pewter. She has been painted to a lovely dun colour with no white markings.

All of these models will be available at Celebration of Breyer Live tomorrow. I always like to go all out for the shows I run and this one has been no different. Which one would you like to take home?
