The Latest Teeny Tiny Night Heather
I never actually photographed the last two! Should really do that...
But check out this little girl in progress, she is a chestnut pinto.
This is my reference picture:
And this is my girl currently:
She still needs quite a lot of work as you can see! But she now has the majority of her colour done, time to finish off the mane and tail and do the details such as eyes and hooves. She could do with a few more layers of white as well, particularly on her legs.

Introducing the Chestnut Ridge Writing Contest 2015!

Chestnut Ridge is pleased to announce a special contest for readers of our blog....the Chestnut Ridge Writing Contest 2015!
Get your pens (or keys...) at the ready, this is your chance to win an amazing prize.
How to Enter
To enter you need to submit an article to us under the title of 'What the Model Horse Hobby Has Done For Me'.
Articles should be 500-2000 words long (no more and no less please, those entries which are not within these limits will not be accepted).
Articles should be written in English, please make sure you check all spelling and grammar before submitting, articles should be suitable for all ages, so no vulgarity!
Submitting Your Entry
You can submit your entry to competitions@chestnutridge.co.uk
Please attach your article as a .doc or .docx document and include any pictures you would like to go with it.
Please include your name, age, email and postal address.
The competition is open to all, although international competitors will be responsible for postage costs.

- The deadline is 30th of September 2015 at midnight GMT. Entries received after this date will not be accepted
- Articles must be between 500-2000 words long. All articles outside of this range will not be accepted.

- Articles must be entirely your own work, all images supplied with the article must be your own and you must have permission to publish them.
- We reserve the right to decline any entries which we do not feel are suitable for publication. This includes but is not limited to, vulgar language, defamatory statements, insulting or derogatory statements or any other article that may cause arm or offend.
- Postage within the UK is free. Winners outside of the UK will be responsible for postage costs for their prizes.
- In entering the competition you are allowing the publication of your article (as above) and any images with it. Full credit will always be given to you as the author of the work.
- Entries will be judged on writing style, content and persuasive argument. We are looking for articles that encourage participation in the hobby and show the incredible benefits it can offer. Articles will be read and judged by myself and another independent judge who is not a hobby member.
- Before judging all entries will be anonymised. I will give each entry a number to keep track of them but all will be printed out with names removed, this is to help ensure fairness in the judging.

POWIE Live Show 2015
Well it was an unusual day yesterday! I'm not sure I ever expected to be explaining vajazzles at a live show nor be not to sure about whether I actually was proud to win a rosette...
But Laura, Vicki and Melody (and Melody's mum) did a great job, thank you so much guys :D
