Breyer 2025 Christmas Range

Can I mention the C word yet? I mean it isn't that long to go! If you are starting to think about Christmas and maybe what you want to be stuffed in your stocking then today's post is for you. Today we are doing a run down of the Breyer 2025 Christmas Range. Nothing new here but my first post with everything together in one place.

Horses

The Breyer 2025 Holiday Horse is Christmas in Bloom, a dark grey on the Flash mould with some very spectacular feathers!

Next we have the Holiday Trail Ride set. Highlight of this set is definitely the random cactus! I mean who doesn't need a festive cactus?

The 2025 Pony for Christmas is the adorable Cuddles. Cuddles is a chestnut pinto Misty with a cute little gingerbread themed rug.

Sylvan is a gorgeous Breyer Classic Morgan with a cute reindeer design. I love the metallic lilac colour of his coat.

Ornaments

The 2025 Stirrup Ornament features the 2025 Holiday Horse - Christmas in Bloom

The next ornament is the Blown Glass Ornament featuring the Brishen Vanner model. This looks like such a cool concept, I can't wait to see one in person.

The 2025 race horse ornament is Lexington

The Artist's Signature Ornament for 2025 features Morgans and Friends. We have a Morgan Stallion with a cute Labrador and a Marabella with a little grey tabby.

The unicorn ornament for this year is Nalu. This guy is so different, a cool green design that reminds me of a kelpie.

Santa is having a go at saddleseat this year on his very own Saddlebred!

The Carousel ornament for the year is Victory. Victory is a beautiful palomino colour with purple and blue designs, featuring lots of lovely rsoettes

The Beautiful Breeds ornament this year is a 'Shetland Pony'. More of an American Shetland than a British one this does not look like a proper Shetland at all!

The final ornament we have is the 2025 Paint Your Own Ornaments kit. This year's kit features a M1 Brishen and a G2 Trotting Foal. I have two of the previous sets and yet haven't actually had a go at them yet! I definitely need to make sure I try them out before Christmas this year.

Advent Calendars

There are two offerings this year. One isn't really an advent calendar but I'm grouping them together!

The first is the 12 Days of Breyer calendar. I love the idea of having an advent calendar for before Christmas and then a 12 Days calendar to count down to 12th night after Christmas! More Mini Whinnies for me! This calendar comes with a 'chase' mini Sherman Morgan so you will need to get several to collect the full set.

The main advent calendar for the year is the Horses & Unicorn friends advent calendar. This contains both realistic models and unicorns as well as various accessories. I like the Paint and Appaloosa.

Other Items

First up we have the 2025 snow globe - Joy of the Season. Featuring a rearing model and a garland of roses around the outside. This year's snow globe plays "I'll be home for Christmas".

Nick is the only piece from the Christmas range that I've already added to my collection! Isn't he the cutest thing. An adorable Father Christmas themed plushie with a cute fluffy beard.

Everyone needs socks for Christmas and this year you can have these Breyer Holiday Socks

And for your hot chocolate on Christmas Eve why not get this Christmas in Bloom mug?

And wrap yourself up in the Christmas in Bloom blanket?

I do really like the Christmas in Bloom Holiday Hat, it has a cute bobble on top, how adorable.

Finally we have the Christmas in Bloom Enamel Pin featuring this year's holiday horse, Christmas in Bloom.

Which is your favourite item from the Breyer 2025 Christmas range? Mine is definitely Nick!

Breyer 2025 TSC Exclusives

You've probably already seen a couple of these guys as they were leaked earlier in the year but here is the full run down of Breyer 2025 TSC Exclusives

First up we have this year's FFA model. This is Emery a lovely blue overo on the Firefly (Standing Quarter Horse Mare) mould

OK sorry I should have edited the picture it has way too much white around it! Anyway just go with the giant white box.

Second we have my person favourite which is Brooks. Brooks is a gorgeous buckskin pinto on the Morgan Stallion mould.

Next up we have a popular model on an older mould. Lots of people love this guy. I do like the San Domingo mould and the colour is really nice. This is Colby.

Finally we have one of my least favourite Breyer moulds, the Llama aka Mustang Mare. TBH I also really don't like Firefly as a mould so there are two not like moulds out of this batch. That said I do quite like the light bay colour on this girl. This is Martina.

Which is your favourite TSC exclusive this year? Mine is definitely Brooks.

So Many New Breyer Models!

Breyer did a massive shadow drop yesterday (they have now promoted these items) and wow! What an incredible selection of models we have!

Let's start with the best of the bunch. This is the new 75th Anniversary Family Set

This incredible set is priced at just $150 and I have two amazing pieces of news for you. (1) the club discount works with them and (2) the collector's club special also works! Which means you can order these, add the code for the glossy model (& the glossy model of course) and get four horses instead of just three! That's awesome. I cannot wait to get this set, I am in love with the PAS he is just beautiful, the colour is absolutely amazing on him.

Bonus picture of the PAS because I'm in love

OK next up we have some new 2025 Holiday products that have just dropped.

First up is Cuddles the Pony for Christmas model for 2025. I love her cute little gingerbread blanket, it is adorable. The colour looks really nice on this Misty as well, a subtle chestnut pinto. There's no picture of her without her blanket so we'll have to wait for in hand pictures to see what she looks like.

Second is Sylvan the Christmas Classic. Look at those cute little reindeers, they are so sweet.

The 2025 Unicorn is Hyperion, I'm not sure about this one, the pink and silver is OK, I think I'd need to see him in person. Also there has to be a limit to how many Morgan Stallion unicorns one person can own.

Now onto the most important Christmas drop of 2025

This adorable creation is Nick the 2025 Christmas Plush. I absolutely adore this little guy, he is the cutest thing ever. Just look at his ickle beard, it is amazing

Right next up is some new Breyer USA exclusive Christmas themed merch.

First are some Breyer Holiday Socks for your stockings

Second we have this cute Christmas mug featuring the 2025 Christmas model.

Third is a blanket featuring the same design as the mug. I do love the Breyer blankets but the price range just means I feel I can't justify any more than the one I have

Fourth is this super cute little hat. Love this, it is adorable.

And finally we have a Christmas in Bloom pin badge.

Which is your favourite item from this drop? I adore that 75th Anniversary Family, I definitely need them in my collection, obviously I'll be adding Nick as well!

Breyer 2025 Halloween Range

Is it spooky season yet? It is definitely spooky season yet! SPOOKY TIME!

And what better way to kick of some spooky spooks than a run down of the Breyer 2025 Halloween range.

So without further ado let's get down to it.

We are going to start off with the Breyer 2025 Halloween Horse Arachne

Arachne is a gorgeous decorator with a spider theme on the Bobby Jo mould. Obviously I am adding this girl to my collection! Like most of the other Breyer Halloween Horses she also glows in the dark. That spider is going to look soooo SPOOKY when the lights are off!

Arachne should be available in the UK in the next few months. You can order from abroad now but if you hold tight you won't have to pay international shipping or customs!

Second we have Screech the 2025 Classic

Screen is a really cool owl themed decorator on the Quarter Horse Stallion mould. I love the deep blue colour, it is so beautiful and the owl design is super unusual and fun.

Third we have Webster the 2025 Breyer Plush

Obviously I'm in love with this little guy! I hope he will still be available at BreyerFest 2026 so I can get my paws on him. Webster makes such a cute pairing with Arachne with his adorable spider web theme and fun pink and orange colouration.

Fourth is the Breyer Spooky Surprise - Series 7 set

These guys come as blind bags so you won't know which Stablemate you are going to get. I cannot believe we are on series 7 already though! I genuinely did not realise they had been doing these for so long, in my brain this is a new thing. My favourite out of this batch is probably the mini Eek with his cute little spiders. Set includes:

Eek - M1 Alborozo
Tabitha - G3 Jumper
Thriller - M1 Brishen

Finally we have a new pin badge

This year's pin badge features the 2025 Halloween Horse Arachne. I love the sparkly green finish on this badge. I've wanted a Bobby Jo pin for ages but the only one is the USA flag one so I never bought it. I definitely want to add this one to my work lanyard!

Which is your favourite model from the Breyer 2025 Halloween range?

My Points System

Every time I share pictures of my collection Instagram and Facebook and talk about their average points I get questions about my points system, so I thought I should do a quick blog post about how I work out the points for each of my horses.

The Points

Let's start off very simply with the points. Each placing that a horse can get is allocated a number of points. The points get higher the better the placing. Below is how many points each placing is allocated.

Overall Champion = 100
Overall Reserve Champion = 85
Overall Reserve to Reserve Champion = 70

Section Champion = 50
Section Reserve Champion = 40
Section Reserve to Reserve Champion = 30

Champion = 25
Reserve Champion = 15
Reserve to Reserve Champion = 10

Top 10 = 25
Best of Breed/Group Winner = 8

1st Place = 6
2nd Place = 5
3rd Place = 4
4th Place = 3
5th Place = 2
6th Place = 1

Points are doubled for shows which the horse had to qualify for (BMECS/BILS/MECS/LEMS/Southern Champs/Northern Champs/NAN)

Here is a handy image that you can save/pin/print off for quick reference!

Keeping Records

So how do I keep the records?

All placings are written into a PowerPoint presentation. There is a slide with basic information about the horse and then a slide for all of their placings. Here is the one for CRS Fiery Rose:

In terms of keeping a record of points I have this recorded on my massive horse spreadsheet.

You can see the points in the end three columns:

First Column = Total Points
Second Column = Number of shows attended
Third Column = Average Points (Points/Shows Attended = Average)

The formula you will need for column three is very simple it is just: =AF30/AG30 (enter the columns you are actually using)

I use filters on the top of each column for sorting which allows me to sort the average column from highest to lowest. This lets me know who my best horses are.

It's worth noting that my records have been developed over 20 years, if I was starting from scratch now I probably wouldn't have the PowerPoints and would instead record individual show records on Excel and have it work out total points for me, but I'm not re-doing the whole thing! I already don't have every horse in the massive horse spreadsheet because I only started this about 10 years ago!

Average or Total?

The next point is whether you work out your best horses by average or total. I used to use total points but increasingly it meant that horses that had been to more shows were obviously always classed as the best. This works fine for your first few shows as a new hobbyist but I recommend going for average long term.

If you look at the list above you can clearly see this, the second horse down has over 1000 points total but I've owned him for quite some time! The one above only has 128 points but I only got him 2 years ago. That's why average works out as a fairer and more accurate record of how well horses have done.

If you want a template for the massive horse spreadsheet please just shout. Free downloads don't work on the new website but I'm working on a category of free downloads that you can 'order' the same way as a paid for digital product but obviously it is free!

What Inspires You?

What inspires you in your customising? Today I'm going to be sharing some inspiration pictures of real horses that might provide you with a bit of inspiration for your next custom. Some are really cool colours, some are really cool poses, each one is lovely and each one would make an amazing custom. I've even included some that would be very unusual performance set ups.

First up we have this palomino with a really cool flick in her mane. This would be a great minor custom, it would be even more amazing in mohair!

Second we have a really cool performance idea, this would be an absolutely amazing performance set up. I can see the Breyer Traditional Akhal Teke working really well as a base model for the horses

Third we have a Marwari foal who is insanely cute!

Fourth we have a three for the price of one!

Fifth we have a really nice face marking on a palomino pinto. You could combine this with the flicking forelock in the first picture and it would make an amazing custom

Sixth we have this really cute pony, I love the out of control mane but I also love his thin stripe, it is a really unusual shape and I do love a little bit of pink on the nose

Seventh we have this lovely bridle, plaits and bow combination. Again I think this would make a really nice performance set up

Eighth we have a cute pinto Icelandic, I do love a pony with a coloured head and then almost completely white body

Ninth we just have a cute foal with quite an unusual coat colour, a really good example of how different foal's coat colours are to adult horses

Tenth we have this mane, again this would be a great minor custom idea. Would look really nice on a sport horse/Thoroughbred style mould

Eleventh we have a really nice dapple grey, lovely dapples on this girl. I wish grey horses just stayed one colour! I'd love a grey like this one but I am not dealing with white greys, waaay too much effort!

Twelfth we have another really cool facer marking. A very dramatic marking on a chestnut, would suit a variety of colours but imagine this on a black!

Thirteenth is another really nice dapple grey. A good reference to combine with the one above to get the face colour correct

Fifteenth is the pose on this foal, this would make an amazing resculpt

And finally we have this really cute mare and foal pair. There are a few resin mare and foal sets that I think would suit this well

Are you going to have a go at attempting any of these pieces? Let me know if you are! I'd love to see what you create
