May Madness 2016

Hello everyone :)

So I think it is about time that I did a full Blog post about May Madness 2016.

First of all a big thank you to Debbie and Nicki who ran an amazing show as always, despite a huge class list everything ran smoothly and to time (and getting Brendon home in time to watch Man U win the FA Cup final was a MASSIVE bonus).

You can view all of our photographs here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154049942670155.1073741996.689360154&type=1&l=02f9c0b1db

The show day started with a bit of a lie in for us. Rothersthorpe is so close it only takes around an hour to get there, which meant we didn't have to get up until 6.45 and still had time to stop for coffee and arrived early! What a great start to the day :D

The show started off with Animal Artistry and Workmanship (always a blessing having Workmanship first) and was then followed by Original Finish, Custom Finish and Artist Resin.

There was a selection of small championships, overall section championships and a workmanship and breed supreme championship.

A rather lovely looking AA Shire.

Shiny and bay? What is not to love?

Continuing the bay theme...a light bay :)

And a bay with some white :D

One of the more unusual pintos I've seen, just check out those markings!

This is one of my favourite customs, Don John. He is painted by Deb Brown.

I can't not share a picture of the amazing rosettes on offer - just look at them!

It was now time for OF, CM and AR

Gorgeous custom Weathergirl

A snap of the AR other light class, which I had the pleasure of judging

Artist Resin Mustang is always a dramatic looking class!

The colour on this Stone Saddlebred was just gorgeous, look at the shimmer in that tail!

It wouldn't be a live show without an Alborozo, this shot shows the massive rosettes that small section champions won

One of my favourite resins of all time

An example of why I hate taking pictures in Rothersthorpe, the lighting is AWFUL! Such a pity when there is such eye candy on show, such as this gorgeous Suffolk.

Gotta love a pinto donkey

But a sleeping pinto donkey is even better!
