Five Breyer 2025 Models Every Shower Needs in Their Show String

If you are a live shower you are probably always thinking about what you can add to your collection and show string. Well I'm taking the hard work out today by letting you know which five models from the Breyer 2025 range you should definitely be adding to your show string.

I will definitely be adding all five of these models to my own personal show string. For each one I have given a suggested breed which is what I will be showing mine as, but you may have different ideas, as always take time to play around and experiment with breeds to find what works best for you.

1. Surfer's Riptide

Surfer's Riptide is the first regular run release on the new Breyer Cantering Welsh mould. Although I'm not 100% sold on this mould there is a real shortage of decent OF Welsh moulds so I can see a nice version of this model doing well in the show ring. Look for one in good condition and with really heavy shading that will stand out from other models.

Above is an in the flesh picture of Surfer's Riptide at Model Madness Live 2025.

2. Deluxe Horse Collection

OK so I feel like I'm cheating a bit with this one but you can also cheat by getting a set that contains eight models rather than just a single model! This set has some nice models in it but I especially like the Fjord. This is the first release on this mould that could actually be shown as a proper Fjord which makes her a great choice for your show string.

3. Mini Whinnie Barn Surprise - Series 2

I'd recommend getting a few sets of these so that you can try and get the really nice models. These shrinkie moulds do exceptionally well in the CTF ring and are a great choice if you are looking for a more affordable model for your show string. I'd be particularly looking for the Morgan and Rearing Mustang.

4. The Ideal Series - Buckskin

This model is a great choice because he is just a good solid Quarter Horse. He isn't particularly exceptional or flashy but he is just nice. Exactly what you want in a model. Get one with a good finish and a nice amount of shading and he should hold up in the show ring. He would also be a good choice for performance with his nice solid stance.

5. Christmas in Bloom

Flash is one of my favourite pony moulds (I know he is technically a Morgan but he is a pony). He makes a great Sport or All-Purpose Pony. For this little grey guy I would go with Irish Sport Pony as you can definitely see some Connemara in him. You'll have to wait until the end of the year to get him and if you are looking for a show horse I'd recommend seeing if you can get one second hand or at least in person as there is always a risk of tack damage with Christmas horses, but he is a brilliant choice. If you do end up with a rubbed model he is great for performance so you can't really go wrong with this choice!

Which models from the 2025 range have you added to your show string? Are they doing well? I can't wait to see lots of them at Celebration of Breyer Live in August!
